Popular start up Pinterest has come under fire for one of the ways it makes profits: appending affiliate links to some pins. If a user clicks the affiliate link and buys the product, the retailer pays Pinterest. While the use of affiliate links to make money is nothing new in the fashion blogging world, folks seem to be in a tizzy because they were unaware of Pinterest’s practice.
