If you’re anything like me, you purchase all of the “easy presents” in late November or early December. This leaves all the shopping for the people in your life that are difficult to find “the perfect gift” for. We are entering the time of year where people start to panic.
I consistently find that some of the hardest people to shop for in my life are men. Maybe it’s because I have some very uncommunicative male friends and family, or maybe it’s just hard to find that very special something that you know he is going to love!
I have compiled a list of my top 5 holiday present suggestions for the men in your life:
Who is it for: A guy who likes to look his best day in and day out.
What is it: Birchbox is a monthly subscription box where you will receive 4-5 samples of grooming products and 1 large gift (flask, pocket square, socks, shirts). The products are masculine and geared towards each specific man’s grooming focuses (shaving, hair products, body lotion).
Who is it for: A guy who likes to stand out from the crowd.
What is it: Handcrafted colognes made in New York by Christopher Brosius. Many of these colognes come from childhood or sense memories of Christopher’s. My favorite is “Burning Leaves” which is “The smoke of burning maple leaves – pure & simple”. These are incredibly accurate and beautiful scents that I can’t recommend highly enough.
Who is it for: A guy that enjoys a nice bottle of red and is looking for a new favorite.
What is it: “Inspired by varieties that flourish in Paso Robles and California’s Central Coast, Troublemaker is a truly distinct Paso blend consisting of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, and Zinfandel. By using a multi-vintage approach, winemaker Austin Hope allows the wine to show uncanny complexity in its youth, yet rich and fruit-forward characteristics that make it ready upon release.” – From the Troublemaker site.
Plus at $20 a bottle, you can save one for yourself!
4. Neat Ice Kit:
Who is it for: A guy who loves to make a nice handcrafted cocktail, or just a guy that really, really likes bourbon.
What is it: This is a next level gift for a budding mixologist. The Neat Ice Kit allows you to make large crystal clear ice cubes for your cocktails. It also lets you make long ice and crushed ice.
I have one of these myself and use it daily!
Who is it for: The man in your life that has an unruly mustache or beard.
What is it: These beard kits come in many styles and price ranges. With a variety of tools and oils, it can make the most unkempt of men look dapper!
