Sunglasses and I have never gotten along. Since I don’t wear contacts, prescription sunglasses are expensive and I always forget them in my car, so they’re not of much use when I need them. Now that I am older, I am aware of protecting my eyes and keeping them from damage, so I figured it was time to try wearing (and not forgetting or losing) them.
Since I wanted to save money, I started looking online. I had heard of Warby Parker, but had never given them a try. According to their site “Warby Parker was founded with a rebellious spirit and a lofty objective: to create boutique-quality, classically crafted eyewear at a revolutionary price point.” Their prices usually range from around $95-$150 including prescription. Since they are mostly online (they have a few stores around the country), they have a great feature that allows you to pick up to 5 pairs of glasses and have them shipped to you for free so that you can try them on!
I received my shipment the other day, and was thrilled with the quality of the sunglasses. Trying them on before you buy them means that you can see how they fit your face. A few pairs were too tight and I am glad that I was able to discover that before making a purchase.
At this price point, I can buy two pairs, one for my car and one for going outside!
