It’s funny how a craving can turn an ordinary evening into a rather eventful one. Tonight, for whatever reason, risotto sounded like a great dinner choice. North Italian Farmhouse, located at The Domain, had a solid menu, including mushroom risotto, one of my favorite versions of this savory dish. Upon arriving, we were seated almost immediately at one of the communal tables adjacent the bar area. I ordered the risotto and garlic bread, while my husband decided on the braised short ribs. Everything, and I do mean everything, was superb. These were generally simple dishes, yet the execution elevated them to a new level. And the cherry on top? North’s price point is extremely reasonable.
After dinner, the hubby and I ran into photographer friends of ours outside, took a quick trip to Louis Vuitton and Tumi, and picked up dessert to go from one of my favorite spots, The Steeping Room. I’d say North’s on my favorites list now as well.
