Singer, reality TV personality Trina Braxton to perform at Fashion Fusion in Austin, proceeds benefit breast cancer nonprofit
AUSTIN – Toombas Jeans and Denim Wear will host Fashion Fusion: The Color of Life, an annual celebration of style and music on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at The Marchesa Hall & Theatre in Austin. A portion of the event proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen Austin for the third consecutive year.
“Fashion Fusion is more than just a glamorous runway show. It’s a celebration of life,” said Haja Scott, who co-founded the Austin based denim jeans line with her two sisters. “This show will uplift women with breast cancer and also provide breast cancer awareness to those in attendance.”
Singer and reality television personality Trina Braxton of WE TV’s hit series The Braxtons will perform her new single, “Party or Go Home” at the event. Also performing will be singer Tje Austin, who competed on the NBC reality television music series, The Voice.
More than 250 people attended last year’s Fashion Fusion event in which Toombas unveils new styles from its fall collection. Breast cancer survivors will also model in the show that will include a special tribute to breast cancer survivors.
Attendees will enjoy the runway show, live entertainment and will have the chance to sample a variety of appetizers and gourmet desserts from numerous restaurants and food vendors. The show will be hosted by news reporter Ashley Goudeau of KVUE-TV.
