What’s more adorable than baby clothes? Nothing. Well, ok, technically the baby is most adorable, but you know what I mean. This is a fashion blog, after all, but being sans child myself, I have not sought out designer looks for little ones…until now. Recently, a friend of mine who runs her own baby blog, In The Babyhood, asked me to do a guest post about what designer clothes for children were out there and I took to the internet to find out.
Why I Like this Site: When they say lavish, they mean it. Armani, D&G, Burberry, Juicy Couture and more, Lavish Kids believes you should spare no expense and buy only the best when it comes to Baby. While I’m a connoisseur of the couture, I know that most parents don’t want to foot the bill to keep jr. looking like a million bucks when he can’t even spell Dolce & Gabbana. So, I went straight to the “Sale” section of the website. Super cute, and still pricey, but every little bit helps!
Why I Like this Site: This is one of those members-only sites, but rest assured, anyone can sign up and become a member. Haute Look boasts truly reasonable sales- some items are as low as $4! It carries high-quality, albeit lesser known brands like Angel Dear, but includes a link where you can read more about each brand and even watch a short promo video about the products.
Why I Like this Site: Gilt Groupe is another inclusive, exclusive members only online shopping experience. I’ve been a fan of Gilt’s since it first came on the scene a few years ago. Warning: Gilt does such a great job of selecting fashion-forward pieces that they sell out quickly. This applies to the children’s clothing as well as adults. So be diligent and be decisive or you’ll be sorry!
Ok, I don’t know much about this one because I don’t have an account. According to the website, its exclusive focus is on “daily deals for babies and kids, up to 70% off.” It was started by the guy who co-founded Blue Nile, an online retailer of jewelry (very nice jewelry). You can read more about him and Zulily via the NY Times here. Zulily has also been featured in Forbes and People magazine, so it’s doing well for itself and definitely worth a look.
To all the mommies, daddies and parents-to-be, I truly hope this has been helpful. If you can’t always get out to stores due to time constraints, online shopping is a great alternative. No baby sitter required, no traffic and no pushy sales person. Happy shopping!
